The Gyronimo Performance Pad - Diamond DA40 New Generation - is a sophisticated tool designed for comprehensive aircraft performance analysis and flight planning. Meticulously based on the Flight Manual data for the DA40 NG, Rev 3 (July 2014), it provides precise calculations for various operational parameters, including MTOW of 1280kg and options for long-range or standard tanks.

The application allows users to calculate and interpolate performance data directly from the Diamond DA40NG Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH), enabling rapid completion of complete flight plans. Its interface facilitates quick updates and displays results through high-resolution graphics optimized for the iPad 2/3 and iPad Mini.

Adjusting key variables is made straightforward via intuitive sliders, permitting users to experiment with different scenarios and quickly generate "what-if" analyses. The tool helps identify optimal cruise altitude, takeoff ground roll, landing distance, and climb rate based on real-time input adjustments.

Gyronimo Performance Pad features seven principal pages:

• Mass & Balance Page: Calculates Center of Gravity, Moments, Takeoff and Zero Fuel Mass, as well as Percent MAC. Users can easily set personnel and baggage weights through sliders and verify CG placement via graphical displays such as the Moment Envelope, CG Envelope, and Aircraft Axis. A comprehensive load manifest can be generated and emailed for flight documentation purposes. Additionally, a Mass & Balance Summary can be sent directly to email.
• Takeoff Page: Utilizes actual data from the Operating Handbook to estimate Ground Roll and Landing Distance considering aircraft mass, pressure altitude, density altitude, OAT, runway conditions, slope, and wind conditions. The integrated Wind Components Computer allows precise assessment of headwind or tailwind components by rotating the wind dial, with results automatically updated in takeoff calculations.
• Climb Page: Computes climb time, fuel consumption, distance traveled, Rate of Climb, and Climb Speed based on differences between departure elevation and the planned flight level. Adjustments include wind components, temperature, and pressure altitude.
• Cruise Page: Determines optimal cruise altitude based on trip distance, flight level, engine RPM, temperature, wind conditions, and altimeter setting. It also calculates Brake Horsepower (% BHP), fuel flow, true airspeed, and displays range capabilities graphically. Fuel management features allow input of reserve times for contingencies and reserves with graphical fuel usage analysis. Fuel efficiency metrics in miles per gallon and liters per 100 km provide additional perspective.
• Landing Page: Estimates ground roll and landing distance incorporating variables such as wind conditions, elevation, and runway characteristics. Similar to the Takeoff Page, it includes a Wind Components feature for quick headwind/tailwind analysis.
• Load / Save: Supports saving up to five aircraft configurations or scenarios for streamlined planning.
• Setup: Provides access to tutorials and video manuals through linked resources for user guidance.
